Brophy Trailer D-RIng Tie Down Review SR15-C- Video

Today we will be taking a look at the Brophy trailer bolt-on D-ring tie down, part number SR15-C. The Brophy D-ring can be a great solution for adding an additional anchor point to your trailer or truck bed. It's made out of a strong steel construction with a zinc finish so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. It's got a 5,000 pound weight capacity and it's got a 1,600 pound safe working load limit. The diameter of the mounting holes is 7/16ths of an inch and the distance between the two holes is going to be 2-1/4 inches. The entire base measures 3-1/2 inches long and it's going to be 1-3/16ths wide. The D-ring itself is a nice 3/8ths of an inch thick and it's going to be 2-1/4 inches long. Erickson Rope Ring Tie Down Anchor Review- Video

Today we'll be taking a look at the Erickson galvanized steel surface-mount rope-ring tie-down anchor, part number EM03700. Now as you can see by the way that I've installed it, I've got complete movement with my anchor ring. It makes it easier for when we're running a strap or a bungee cord through it. It's made of a galvanized steel construction so we know we don't have to worry about any rust or any type of corrosion. It's got 5/16" thickness and the diameter of the anchor ring is 2". Erickson Rope Ring Tie Down Anchor Review EM59112- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson e-coated steel rope ring tie down anchor, part number EM59112. It's made with strong steel construction. It's got a nice black e-coat finish, so we know we don't have to worry about any rust or any corrosion like that. It's a quarter inch thick, it's diameter, the ring here, is 2 inches, and it's got a load bearing of 1,200 lbs. Now that we've gone over some of the features, I'll go ahead and show you how easy it is to install. We've already drilled out a hole on our wooden surface to make it easier to thread our eye bolt through. We'll also want to make sure that when we do drill out a hole, that the drill bit we use is smaller than our thread. So, once we got that drilled out, we'll simply just start that in. more

Erickson Rope Ring Tie Down Anchor Review EM03600- Video

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson surface mount galvanized steel rope ring tie down anchor, part number EM03600. It's made out of a nice galvanized steel construction so we know we don't have to worry about any rust or any corrosion. So we know we can get away with using it in harsh weather conditions. It's 1/4" thick and the diameter of the ring is 2". The base of the surface mount is 3" long and it's 1-9/16" wide and 7/16" tall. Now let's go ahead and attach a strap to it and see how it's going to hold down our cargo. So the strap we're working with today is an Erickson cam buckle strap, and that's part number EM51215. So we'll put our hook through our anchor ring and then we'll tighten down our strap. more

Tow-Rax Floor Track for Tie Down Anchors Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Tow-Rax Aluminum Low Profile Floor Track for tie down anchors. Measures 6 foot long. Part number is TWSP72TA. As you can see we've got a nice aluminum construction with the the track. It gives us a lot of different mounting points here to choose from. The track allows us with the counter sunk holes placed every 12 inches to securely mount this to our floor or to the wall of our trailer. It's got a beveled edge on each side. more

Brophy Stake Pocket Tie Down Anchor Review T355- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Brophy 3-1/2" Stake Pocket Connector. This is designed to go in the 2" by 4" pockets and it's designed to secure up to a 5,000 pound load. Today we're going to review part number WFSPDR, this is the Red Line 2'' X 4'' stake pocket steel tie down anchor for flat bed trucks or trailers. It does have a 4,000 lb working load limit. Now this stake pocket tie down will fit into any standard 2" x 4" stake pocket on a flatbed truck or utility trailer. It has a very sturdy 1/2" thick hinge D-Ring. This will provide a versatile hinge tie off point that you can move quickly from pocket to pocket. Then right here it uses a tough 1/2" thick galvanized steel hitch pin to serve as the retaining bolt. It does have the solid steel D-ring, this provides that movable tie down point on your flatbed truck or trailer. more

CE Smith Bolt On Stake Pocket Installation- Video

Today on our utility trailer we'll be installing the C.E. Smith Stake Pocket for flat bed truck or trailer in galvanized steel, part number CE45004G. We'll begin by choosing our location on our utility trailer that we want to mount the stake pocket. This is a bolt on style. The hardware to mount the stake pocket does not come with it. You will need to supply that separately. We'll go ahead and measure out our location. Then we'll take a marker and mark our spots where we need to drill a 3/8 inch hole. Now that we have our two holes drilled out, we'll go ahead and install our hardware and then tighten it down. more

A variety of mounting options, you can mount this any way you want whether it's in a floor or on a wall. We do recommend part number BP05 which is a backing plate for additional strength. Today we'll be reviewing part number SR10-C. This is the light-duty tie-down from Brophy rated at 1,000 pounds. It's going to provide us with a safe working load limit of 330 pounds. Now, if you need some additional support depending on the surface that you're mounting it to, we recommend backing plate, part number BP12. That's just going to add the extra support that you need for your tie-down. So the way this works is you'd just place this portion here over your D-ring, install your bolts and you'll be set to go as long as you get those fully secure. The mounting hardware is sold separately, so you will need to purchase that in addition to the D-ring. more

Brophy Tie Down Anchors - Trailer Tie-Down Anchors - RR01-C Review- Video

Today we'll be reviewing part number RR01-C; this is the Brophy Trailer D-ring light duty tie-down. It's going to provide us with a minimum breaking strength of 1200 pounds, and a safe working load capacity of 400 pounds. See here that it has a nice D-ring that will lay flush when not in use, so it's not going to take up any extra space. It does have the recessed area back here, so we'll look at that real quick, to see how far down it needs to be set, and how big a hole that we need to cut out. So, this recessed portion is going to measure about 3" at its widest point. more like 2 and 3/4", so a 3" hole is going to be ideal for that to sit in. You need to make sure that if I sit this flat where you can see it, it's going to set about 5/16" off of the smooth surface around it, so that hole needs to be at least that much in depth. more
